Colorado! Oh how i love thee!

Back in September I visited Colorado for the first time with my boyfriend and I have to say I have a new love...ummm, Colorado of course! It is so beautiful, but what really stuck out was how friendly the people were.

I mean they actually didn't honk immediately after the light turned green if your foot wasn't off the gas pedal super sonic lighting speed fast. They didn't try to mow you down if you were crossing an intersection by foot as if they were collecting points in a video game for each person they hit. Get this, they actually followed the speed limit and were careful with those in the bike lanes.

Most impressive though was how many people just simply liked to spend time walking, jogging, biking, hang gliding, skateboarding, hiking, kayaking....the list could go on & on with various adventure worthy activities.  Bottom line folks in Colorado just love living. I mean they created a river in lower downtown Denver that has kayakers working it everyday, amazing!!!!

This is a state I want to move too!

Neglect

Oh blog how I've neglected you!

It was my goal to get this blog just up & running, but I didn't realize how much time it takes to keep it up and how busy and distracted I can get. It's my goal this week to focus on this blog and from here on out write in it daily.  Fun times ahead!

Woo Hoo!

Yay!  Today is my first post and I am so excited!  This blog is important to me for a few reasons.  First, it is simply a goal that I've been wanting to complete that is now a reality.  Hooray for me!  Second, it's a much needed creative outlet.  Third, it's a tangible way that I can measure progress in my life.  Last, it's an easy way for me to look back at all the blessings in my life if ever I need a reminder.

So what is my blog about? Well my Adventures of course.  It will include all the silly, ridiculous, interesting things that I manage to get myself into.

I also am a work in progress. I have a friend, Christina, who is a Registered Nurse and lover of all things holistic, organic, and yogi related. Christina has taught me how to focus on values in my life that are most important to me.  This is what brings me to Balance.  I've learned this value along with adventure and love are among the values that are most important to me.  This all came about after Christina decided to attend a program at Duke University that focuses on Integrated Medicine.  Basically, she strives to teach people the importance of treating the person as a whole.  This is because every aspect of an individual's life can contribute to their health such as their environment, finances, etc., not just a particular illness.  Christina's coaching has really revolutionized my life. It is through the coaching she provided me that I have finally started to regain balance in my life.

Last, but certainly not least is Love. I can FINALLY proclaim that I've found it!  Well I shouldn't say finally as it's always been a constant in my life that I've felt through my friends & family. They are pretty awesome.  However, I can finally say I AM IN LOVE!  Yup, that's right, I am head over heels in love with my boyfriend Kelly. He's awesome and I'm sure his name & actions will be a regular in the blog.

Happy reading and hope you remain entertained!
